Émile Gallé French Walnut and Fruitwood Marquetry Two-Tiered Pedestal
This Art Nouveau two-tiered French walnut square pedestal with carved and fruitwood marquetry decoration, by Émile Gallé, has two shelves, each with elegantly refined marquetry depicting oblong leaves of varying shades. Supporting the double tiered structure are four sinuous, ribbed legs that come together in a glorious arched form, reminiscent of the grandeur of classic gothic architecture.
