Louis Majorelle Walnut and Fruitwood Marquetry Salon Table
This French Art Nouveau walnut and fruitwood marquetry salon table by Louis Majorelle is dramatic from every angle, as the table features vegetal marquetry so expertly rendered as to leave the impression that the sinuously outlined plant forms rendered on the table's top are swirling in eddies created at the corners of upper portion of the piece. The legs are decorated just below the juncture with the second tier with charming, bulbous blooms that taper into stems that run the length of the standing support structure.
