In this original tutti frutti bracelet, cool blue sapphire leaves are contrasted with glowing ruby berries and carved ruby leaves, all stemming from a highly abstracted branch motif delineated in crisp, sparkling old European-cut diamonds, and set in a minimum of finely worked platinum. The bracelet’s designer deliberately merged the long Indian tradition of gem-carving with abstract Islamic foliate ornamentation to create a jewel of dynamic East-West modernism.
