Set with rubies, sapphires and diamonds in 18K gold, this Tiffany & Co. American flag brooch was created circa 2001. It is designed as a flag rippling in the wind with round-cut ruby and diamond stripes with a square of round brilliant-cut diamond stars against a round-cut sapphire sky, mounted on a gold flagpole entwined with rope. With its modeling conveying motion in the wind, and sparkling with lively, vividly colored gems, this Tiffany & Co. flag brooch is classic heritage jewel.

Tiffany & Co. have made many iterations of this beloved jewel, listing bejeweled flags in their Blue Book since 1889. A Tiffany flag in platinum-topped gold dating from 1900-1910 is enhanced with diamond tassels, and depicted the 1777 flag with thirteen diamond stars.
