Tiffany Studios New York "Tulip" Table Lamp
The shade of this Tiffany Studios New York "Tulip" table lamp is comprised of brightly-colored yellow tulips, in the fullest state of bloom, clustered serenely against a deep blue sky. Louis Comfort Tiffany had quite the affinity for the tulip flower, and recreated a composition that had the dynamic and joyous emotion that can be felt in this piece. The colorful, leaded glass shade sits atop a patinated bronze ribbed base.

The movement in the composition of this lamp, bordering on a beautiful chaos, is nearly unique among the more serenely composed arrangements that are usually found in Louis Comfort Tiffany's creations, making this table lamp an ideal statement piece in a charmingly smaller scale.
